Organic culture
The Côtes de Duras :
At the heart of SW France, between the Bergeracand the Saint-Emilion regions, the Côtes de Duras is a deceptively small area. It has a strong pedigree and is blessed with remarkably good vine-growing land. Cotes duras is about two thousand ha. Duras wine has improved since the XXII century. Pape Clement V, United Kingdom king's or François the first developp Duras wine reputation.
Wine and tourism are the main activities in the region. Wine and food tourism offers plenty of opportunities to appreciate our organic soil products.
Our vineyard :
Our guilding principles are respect for the fruit and the land which dictated our move towards organic culture in 2005. The grapes we grow for our red wines are Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Malbec. The first being best for fineness and aroma. For our whites we use Chenin, Sauvignon and Semillon to produce the complex mixture of acidity and sweetness.
Wine production
All our grapes are hand picked then fermented in oak barrels, and regular tasting by our Oenologue is an essential part of the process.
Our work is governed by our respect for the grapes, the absence of chemicals, and the absolute need for a high-quality product.
